Training for volunteers
We stop recruiting guide runners until further notice.
- Workshop – with the guidance and assistance from other helpers, volunteers will imitate the daily life of visually impaired people. Volunteers would be able to have more understanding of the difficulties visually impaired are facing every day and thus know how to take care of the visually impaired athletes during guide running.
- Training camp – volunteers and visually impaired athletes would know each other more through participating in a series of group activities.
- Seminar on eye illness –eye specialist tells us the commonly known eye illness in HK and the essential points to note when visually impaired people doing sports.
- Seminar on knowing the visually impaired – registered social worker tells us what is visually impaired and how to communicate with the visually impaired through a series of group activities.
